Organization of the Research School

Research School Director
Professor Olle Persson, Library & Information Science, Department of Sociology, University of Umeå is the main responsible person. He will coordinate the Research School activities and act as Chairman of the board of the Research School. His responsibilities also include writing applications and activity reports, and maintaining informative functions. The economic administration of the Research School will be carried out by his department.

The Research School board
All major decisions regarding the activities of the Research School will be taken by the Board of the Research School. They will meet once a year, preferably in connection to the annual workshop, to decide on the activities for the coming year, and other matters of importance. The Research School Board consists of one senior researcher responsible for a local PhD-program from each of the five Nordic countries, and three Baltic countries, in addition to one Ph.D. student selected among the active Nordic-Baltic research students.
