This template is to be used for announcing the course/workshop.
The information will be announced at the NORSLIS website, and it should
be prepared by the main responsible person using this page as a template.
Then the page must be sent to the research school leader in plain text
to be uploaded to the NORSLIS web-site.

Purpose
of the course/workshop
Must include aim and general outline (max 500 words). Type and volume of student's preparatory work, pedagogical methods, examination and form of assessment should be indicated.

Note: Max 4-5 lecturers including visiting lecturers, from
outside the NORSLIS departments.

Note: Events should be sheduled over Saturday/Sunday to
save travel and accommodation costs. Duration should be minimum 5 days
for courses and 3 days for workshops.

Accommodation
Note: Location and accommodation should if possible be
in the form of an internat, where all participants stay, at a guest house
or a low price hotel in order to save costs and to maximize interaction
among students and lecturers.

Application
deadline should be about 1 month in advance of the course start. Call
for participation should be sent out as early as possible, idreally at
least 6 months in advance of course/workshop start even though not all
details are specified.
Credits:
NORSLIS
recommends 5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) for a course, and
3ECTS for a workshop
Note: Final credits are decided by the person in charge
of the local Ph.D. program.

Participation
is primarily reserved for Ph.D. students registred at one of the 15 NORSLIS
departments. Provided
that there is room for more participants, Ph.D. students from outside
the NORSLIS departments, as well as researchers and lecturers at the NORSLIS
departments, may participate. However, travel and accommodation costs
cannot be financed by NORSLIS for these two groups.

A dedicated homepage containing detailed information must be prepared
