Ágústa Pálsdóttir is an Associate professor at the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Iceland, Iceland.

Her main field of research is information behavior, provision of knowledge, information use, information seeking, as well as health information behavior. Her research also include reading habits in families, and the development in studies on children's literature in Iceland. She has about 25 research publications. She is on the board of University of Iceland Social Science Research Institute and on the board of Centre for Research in Information Technology and Mediation.
