This conference has several purposes.

It is to stimulate contacts between Ph.D. students and supervisors from different NORSLIS departments and to increase mobility of Ph.D. students, post-docs and senior researchers within the NORSLIS network. It is to foster cooperation between individuals and institutions by the means of presenting and discussing important topics in LIS – research.

The purpose is also through poster and paper presentations to give a view of the may aspects of Library and Information Science research. Conferences like this have proven to be excellent means for sharing the Nordic mentoring expertise and creating contacts between doctoral students and senior researchers.
