Purpose:
The purpose of the conference is to stimulate contacts between Ph.D. students and supervisors from different NORSLIS departments and to increase mobility of Ph.D. students, post-docs and senior researchers within the NORSLIS network.

Travel:
Participants are supposed to come on Friday 21 and leave on Sunday 23 in order to reduce flight costs.
Uppsala is 40 km north of Arlanda Airport/Stockholm. Bus no 801 from Arlanda to Uppsala approx. every 30 minutes (Timetable).

You can walk to the hotel from the Railway station where the airport bus stops. It takes you 10-15 minutes and is not hard to find. If you take a taxi you'll need to pay about 75 SEK, not much if you share it.

Participation:
Each of the 15 NORSLIS departments should nominate 1 senior researcher and 2 (fairly fresh) doctoral students. They should be selected to represent their own department as a whole, and not only themselves as individuals.

Presentation:
Each department must prepare a poster presenting the research profile and training at the department and practical information relevant for a visiting student/scholar. A good idea is to design the poster as enlarged web-pages, since we wish that the departments make them available at the department's web site. At the conference there will be screens on which you can present the poster. For each department, the area consists of 2 parts, each 180cm high and 80cm wide. There will be pins available for you. Senior researchers are expected to stay at the poster, while the Ph.D. students can visit the posters of the other departments.
