Bibliometrics is relevant for persons interested in science policy and
evaluation, library and information work, data mining and visualization,
organizational communication, science studies, history of science and
ideas, sociology of science, innovation studies, regional economics etc.
Tuesday 23 March, 2004 - Closed session supervision of Ph.D. student's
thesis work, associated with informetric issues.
Thesis plan and text to be sent in advance to Irene Wormell (irene.wormell@hb.se),
Wolfgang Glänzel (Wolfgang.Glanzel@econ.kuleuven.ac.be), and Olle
Persson (olle.persson@soc.umu.se) from the Ph.D. students - when their
participation has been ackowledged!

The roadshow seminar is equivalent to 1 course ECTS.
Participation:
Ph.D. students should register to Olle Persson already on March 8 at the
latest and - after acknowledgement - immediately, and no later than March
9, send their thesis plan and project text, including a 1/2 page description
of research issues to be discussed by e-mail to the supervisors.
Ph.D. students under the NORSLIS programme may apply for travel support
to the NORSLIS Board, i.e. Olle Persson, no later than March 9.
